During an interview on last week's episode of The Adam Friedland Show, critically lauded indie rock musician MJ Lenderman described his "most annoying" fan encounter during a recent tour.
“This guy was at like three shows in a row, and he kept telling me to take my shoes off," the 27-year-old songwriter recalls. "He said: ‘Let me see those feet!’”
Lenderman says the behavior lasted three consecutive nights. On the third evening, he "called out" the fan to discover the audience member was wearing "every piece of merch that I have."
Caribou Current can confirm one of the reported incidents occurred at MJ Lenderman’s sold-out show with Wild Pink at the Fox Theatre in Boulder on Feb. 27, 2025. The performance took place on the second evening of a four-night Colorado run from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs.
